Student Services
Student Services are offered at every delivery site and you can access the right person by asking your tutor. The Student Services Coordinator, Shanon, oversees the Student Services department and is based at EmployNZ Head Office in Second Ave Tauranga.
For Auckland ESOL courses, Campus Manager, Pooja, oversees the student services.
Student Services can support you and your parents / caregivers, whanau and school teachers and your support crew as you move into EmployNZ and we will support you where we can while you are with us.
Student Services may include anything from:
- Help completing your enrolment forms
- Updating your personal and contact details while you are studying
- For Booking placement test and Interviews
- Information about courses
- Support organising things you need to get started at EmployNZ
- Accessing you NSI number and NZQA Record of Achievement
- Questions and printing of your EmployNZ Academic Results and Transcripts
- Support to access stationary and using the photocopier
- Organizing referrals to the Student Support staff
Student Services staff and your Tutors are the best place to start when you need anything while you are studying at EmployNZ.

Courses offered:
- ESOL for beginner – The course is for those who want to learn the foundation of English language and begin communicating in English.
- ESOL for Everyday life in NZ (Elementary) For those who can understand and use a little English. You will learn about basic grammar, common words and phrases, speak in simple sentences and improve listening and reading.
- ESOL for Work & Study (Pre-Intermediate)- This course is for those who can understand and use simple English in everyday setting. Course will help you improve your confidence in speaking, focus on pronunciation and vocabulary, understanding and being understood in English.

You can start with a programme that matches your experience and/or qualifications, then make progress to a level that helps you to achieve your goals.
- ESOL for Beginner’s
- ESOL for Everyday life in NZ (Elementary) (Level 1)
- ESOL for Work & Study. (Pre-Intermediate) (Level 2)
- After completing ESOL for Work & Study, student can pathway to NZ Certificate in English Level 3 at Unitec.
- Student also pathway to employment after completing Level 2 or higher studies in the field of interest.
